    ABOUT LES ABEILLES DE MALESCOT

Formerly a grain farm located in the commune of Bouglon in the Lot-et-Garonne department, the Malescot estate has been transformed into an organic beekeeping operation dedicated to creating an ideal environment for bees. This conversion, the result of a long transition, involves daily work selecting nectar-producing plants, maintaining the plots, and planting hedges, aiming to recreate a natural ecosystem requiring only human intervention. The estate has also integrated a honey production and processing unit to guarantee optimal traceability and minimize transportation.

  3. #HONEY CRYSTALLIZATION#All honeys crystallize! Contrary to popular belief, this is in no way a sign of poor quality or added sugar. This natural phenomenon varies, however, depending on the honey's floral origin and its storage temperature. How do you liquefy honey that is too hard or grainy? Simply place the jar of honey in a bain-marie (water bath) without exceeding 40°C (104°F), as this risks losing its nutritional value. Be aware: this will still alter its organoleptic qualities, particularly its taste and aroma. It's therefore best to leave it in its natural state!
